My PSA
If you’re reading this, there’s a very big chance that you have a lot of water but don’t look at the water and see it as much, but what if I told you that a lot of people don’t have clean water like that? Instead, they have to use their hands to drink from water that’s dirty, if you think it’ll just taste bad and it’s not too bad of a problem, then let me tell you how MUCH worse can happen.
So first off, there’s something that’s the main problem for water contamination, parasites. Parasites are very small creatures, they mostly feed off your blood and make you feel a lot of pain, imagine drinking water and 10 different parasites drink your blood and lay eggs in your body, well guess what, that’s what two billion people on earth have to deal with. Second, there’s the diseases. This time, they aren’t living things but they can still grow in your body. Diseases can have a lot of bad side effects such as gastrointestinal problems, diarrhea, nausea, intestinal or stomach cramping/aches and pains, dehydration, which makes it not a liable water source at all if you won’t gain hydration from it, and sometimes even death.
Not to worry, because people are aware of this problem! There are a lot of places for giving water to the 2 billion people and facilities to clean contaminated water. Most of them have donations to help them afford water or useful tools to help with giving out water and actually do what they said, but be wary of the ones that are hoaxes or liars. You can also help by giving out water you have, but I only suggest doing that if you have a lot of water and if you know people nearby that have a small amount of water, or can easily get to people with a small amount of clean water. Remember, you don’t want to be drinking contaminated water after running out of clean water.
Finally, I have a solution that can help against water contamination, and can upgrade facilities to a structure that can help make everything much easier to clean water. My idea is to loop the cleaning process multiple times. It can be helpful because if there’s still some bacteria and germs in the water they will give the water without knowing unless they check it, and people will drink the “clean” water, and even if they know it’s dirty they will have to carry it all into the cleaning process again,so it will be better to make a pipe that leads all of the water to the start of the cleaning process, and it will be a bit faster to rebuild into than other solutions.
The meme was a bit off, but the PSA itself was good. But you might wanna change your first few paragraphs from the white to black.
ReplyDeleteI agree the meme was a little out of context, but you worded your essay very well. I advise to maybe add a personal experience so the audience will be more motivated to help the environment. Otherwise, great essay.
